To apply for an RTI, you can: https://rtionline.gov.in/guidelines.php?request
- Write a request: Write a request in English, Hindi, or the official language of the area. You can submit it in writing or electronically.
- Specify the information: Include the details of the information you are seeking.
- Pay the fee: Pay the prescribed fee, unless you are below the poverty line. You can pay by cash, demand draft, banker's cheque, Indian Postal Order, or online.
- Submit the request: Submit the request to the Public Information Officer (PIO). You can submit it by hand, through post, or online.
- Track your application: If you apply online, you can track the status of your application.
You can find the name of the PIO and the address of the department on the organization's website. It's recommended to address your application to the PIO to ensure it reaches the correct department.
